Rega Ania - MC Cartridge

Ania is the result of Rega's extensive development work: it is designed to bring the best qualities of MC cartridges—sensitivity, openness, and subtle details—within reach of more vinyl enthusiasts.

The body is made of glass-filled PPS material, which combines lightness and rigidity. This structure reduces resonances and ensures that the stylus tracks its groove stably and without disturbance. Ania is also protected by a CAD-designed clear housing, which makes handling safe and protects the delicate structure.

The heart of the cartridge is a super-powerful neodymium magnet and extremely precise coil winding technology. The coils are made of very fine 0.018 mm wire with an iron cross construction, which minimizes moving mass and improves stylus responsiveness. This enables exceptionally detailed and musical reproduction.

Ania uses an elliptical profile stylus, which offers a balanced combination of precision, a wide contact surface, and a long lifespan. The cantilever is made of aluminum, making the structure light and reliable.

For ease of installation, Ania utilizes Rega's patented 3-point mounting system, which ensures precise cartridge alignment and perfect compatibility with Rega's own tonearms.

The Ear describes Ania as a dynamic and musical MC cartridge that conveys the interplay of instruments and rhythm with excellent precision. According to testers, Ania offers excellent value for money, as it utilizes the same technology as Rega's significantly more expensive Apheta 3 MC and Aphelion 2 MC series.
