Refund policy
RIGHT OF RETURN
All unused products ordered via distance selling have a full exchange and return right for 14 days from receipt of the goods.
Limitations on the right of return (Consumer Protection Act, Chapter 6, Section 16)
- No right of return or cancellation for products customized or modified at the customer’s request if the work has already begun or the product has been procured for the customer. For example: cables made to measure.
- Hygienic products cannot be returned after the packaging has been opened. This category includes, among others, in-ear headphones.
Product condition and right of return
The product to be returned must be in resalable condition. Open the packaging only with normal care and handle the product solely to check its functionality and features.
If the returned product, its packaging, or accessories are incomplete, the payment made will not be refunded in full.
Handling defective products
If the product you received is defective, damaged, or does not match your order, proceed as follows:
- Report the defect immediately to our customer service at asiakaspalvelu@hifikaupat.fi. Include your order number, product details, and, if possible, a photo of the defect.
Warranty matters: Products are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty terms as well as statutory liability for defects under consumer protection law. Warranty period and terms are specified per product.
Products damaged in transit: Always inspect the shipment when you receive it. If the packaging is damaged, note this on the delivery document and contact our customer service immediately.
Return costs
- Return to store: free (the customer is responsible for transport to the store).
- Return by post: the customer is responsible for return shipping.
- If, after a partial return, the value of the remaining order falls below €150, a €10 shipping fee will be deducted from the refund.
Large or heavy products
Large or heavy products should preferably be returned directly to the store. If you cannot return the product yourself, paid collection delivery may be offered; this is arranged through customer service.
If the return does not include an order or receipt number, we charge a €10 handling fee.
How do I return an item?
- Notify us of the return in writing (in accordance with EU regulations) at asiakaspalvelu@hifikaupat.fi. The email must include the order number, which product is being returned, and the reason for the return, if applicable.
- Wait for confirmation of the return before sending the shipment.
- Return the product(s) in their original packaging, in fully resalable condition. Include: order number and contact details.
Refund timeline
Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you by email whether the return has been accepted or rejected.
For an accepted return, the payment will be refunded to the original payment method within 7–14 business days of acceptance of the return. When the refund appears in your account depends on your bank or credit card issuer’s processing time.
