Accessibility Statement
This accessibility statement applies to the Hifikaupat.fi online store and was prepared on March 12, 2026.
Hifikaupat.fi is a new website, and we are continuously improving its accessibility as part of our service development.
Digital service accessibility status
The Hifikaupat.fi online store largely meets accessibility requirements, but there are still some shortcomings on the site.
Our goal is to provide a digital service that is as accessible as possible to all users. The accessibility assessment is based on our own self-assessment and practical testing during the launch of the new site.
Non-accessible content
Known accessibility shortcomings are described below. The list will be updated as deficiencies are corrected.
Perceivable
-
Text alternatives for images
Some images may lack alternative text (alt text) or it may not describe the content clearly enough. This can make the experience more difficult for users who use screen readers. -
Color contrasts
In some text-background and button-background combinations, the contrast does not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA level requirements, which may impair readability, especially for users with visual impairments.
Operable
-
Form instructions and error messages
Not all forms may have sufficiently clear filling instructions or error messages. This can make it difficult to detect and correct errors.
Understandable
-
Field labels and descriptions
For some input fields, the instructions may be incomplete or unclear, meaning the purpose of the field is not immediately understandable to all users.
Robust
-
Screen reader support
In connection with some functions, status messages are not fully conveyed to assistive technologies, which may impair the experience of users using screen readers.
Correction of deficiencies
Since Hifikaupat.fi is a new service, improving accessibility is part of continuous development work.
Identified accessibility shortcomings will be corrected as soon as possible, and we will update this accessibility statement as deficiencies are corrected or as we identify new areas for improvement.
