This ESB subwoofer is a precision loudspeaker designed to deliver extremely high-quality sub-bass frequency performance in a car. To maximize the performance of this subwoofer, we strongly recommend using a custom enclosure.

The included technical data sheet provides specifications and two recommended enclosures: one is a sealed enclosure; the other is a ported model. Both enclosure types provide excellent sound quality and low-frequency extension. A sealed enclosure is a better choice if space is extremely tight, while a ported enclosure produces 3 dB more volume at the same power if additional space is available.

Enclosure recommendation

Both sealed and bass reflex enclosures are suitable for the subwoofer. A sealed enclosure is a better option due to space constraints, while a bass reflex enclosure produces 3 dB more output at the same power. More detailed enclosure recommendations can be found in the included data sheet.
