Yamaha's trusted HS studio monitor series is expanding. The HS4 follows the design philosophy and precision of previous models in a smaller size. The high-quality compact studio monitors feature Class-D amplifiers, robust MDF enclosures, and high-quality woofer and tweeter drivers that deliver sound faithful to the original recording. Yamaha's "Twisted Flare Port" technology, familiar from larger models, reduces noise caused by air movement in the bass reflex port for clear and accurate bass reproduction. These elements contribute to the HS4's exceptional soundstage and depth. The sound is reproduced naturally across the entire frequency response without coloration.

The HS4 is equipped with Room Control and High Trim adjustments, allowing you to optimize playback according to the environment – for example, to reduce unnecessary, exaggerated low frequencies that may occur when speakers are placed close to a wall. The rear panel features XLR/TRS combo, RCA, and stereo mini connectors, allowing the monitors to be broadly connected to various professional and consumer devices such as computers, audio interfaces, mixers, and electronic instruments. The most frequently used functions – power switch, volume knob, and headphone jack – are conveniently located on the front of the speaker.

The compact size of the HS4 is possible thanks to its highly efficient Class-D amplifier. The use of a single amplifier for both speakers has enabled both lighter weight and simpler cable connections.
