Yamaha's trusted HS studio monitor series is expanding. The HS3 follows the design philosophy and precision of previous models in a smaller size. These high-quality compact studio monitors feature Class D amplifiers, sturdy MDF cabinets, and high-quality woofers and tweeters that produce sound faithful to the original recording. Yamaha's "Twisted Flare Port" technology, familiar from larger models, reduces noise caused by air movement in the bass reflex port for clear and accurate bass reproduction. This creates the HS3's exceptional soundstage and depth. Sound is reproduced naturally across the entire frequency response without coloration.

The HS3 is equipped with Room Control and High Trim settings, which allow optimization of playback according to the environment – for example, to reduce unnecessary, exaggerated low frequencies that may occur when speakers are placed close to a wall. The rear panel features XLR/TRS combo, RCA, and stereo mini connectors, allowing the monitors to be connected to a wide range of professional and consumer devices, such as computers, audio interfaces, mixers, and electronic instruments. The most used functions – power switch, volume knob, and headphone jack – are conveniently located on the front of the speaker.

The compact size of the HS3 is possible thanks to a highly efficient Class D amplifier. The use of one amplifier for both speakers has enabled both lighter weight and simpler cable connections.
