The Supra Ply Shielded 2x3.4 mm² is a square-shaped speaker cable pair with pre-terminated Combicon connectors. The cable consists of braided, tin-plated oxygen-free copper conductors. The tinned conductors reduce electron jumps between strands, which cause phase shifts and distortion — resulting in a clearer soundstage and better imaging.
The shielded Ply cable also includes shield earthing, which prevents interference caused by potential differences and electromagnetic radiation. The tin plating also protects the cable from oxidation in outdoor and automotive use.
Combicon Connectors
The package includes pre-pressed Supra Combicon connectors, which allow for both banana and spade connections. Gold-plated copper.
Supra Ply Concept
In the flat square structure, the braided copper strands remain in precise order side-by-side. This increases the cable's capacitance at the expense of inductance — in a speaker circuit, inductance has a significantly greater effect on reproduction than capacitance. In practice, this means better transient response and less attenuation, especially at high frequencies.
