Supra MD08-16-EU/SP MK3 Surge Protected Power Strip
A Supra power strip consisting of no less than eight European Schuko sockets. The input connector is a 16 amp male chassis connector compliant with the international standard IEC-320, compatible with Supra Lorad power cables equipped with 16 A connectors. The strip features a 16 A fuse, NIF filtration, and 3-way surge protection.
Note! Requires a separate power cable. Suitable cables include Supra's 16 A LORAD cables.
Supra NIF Filter
All Supra power strip models feature Supra NIF (Non-Intrusive Filtering), an effective high-frequency (RFI) transient filter. It is designed and configured to effectively attenuate RFI interference without compromising the fast charging requirements of connected devices' power supplies. Supra NIF was developed by Ben Duncan Research in England.
All filters and protections require a grounded wall socket to function. If your multimedia and hi-fi devices comply with a certain standard, they likely require a grounding connection themselves and use an IEC-320 power connector with a removable power cable. If your device is such and the wall socket does not have a grounding connector, we recommend contacting your landlord and/or electrician to arrange for grounding. This will undoubtedly improve both the sound quality and the operational safety of your equipment.
3-Way Surge Protection
All SP models are equipped with Supra "Surge Protect," where each conductor is protected. Many manufacturers only offer phase/neutral protection, which is not sufficient in all cases. Supra SP power strips provide phase/ground, neutral/ground, and phase/neutral protection. This ensures maximum protection against lightning or other power surges. Only disconnecting devices offers the most reliable protection, but when a thunderstorm strikes, disconnecting devices may not always be possible.
Note! All protections require a correctly installed, grounded socket to function. If a grounded socket is not available, we recommend having one installed by a licensed electrician. DO NOT USE ADAPTED, SELF-MODIFIED, OR UNOFFICIAL GROUNDING METHODS.
Supra LoRad Shielded Power Strips in Aluminum Casing
The aluminum chassis of the Supra power strip is connected to ground potential, minimizing the radiating, interfering magnetic field in the environment. The conductive chassis directs harmful interference fields directly to ground and prevents RFI and other disturbances from entering the power circuit. To achieve full interference protection, we recommend connecting all devices and power strips with interference-shielded power cables. Supra's LORAD cables are perfectly suited for this purpose. If you haven't experienced a fully shielded system before, you will certainly notice the difference!
