Supra GSS-TV Noise Suppressor for Antenna Cable, Straight
Hum, noise, sparks, uneven picture? In many cases, interference in broadcasts is caused by the differing ground potential of electrical equipment, which equalizes through signal cables. The mains power, TV and radio antenna, internet, or other devices are not grounded to a single, stable ground point, leading to differing ground potentials. This results in a voltage difference between ground points, which equalizes via the signal cable, thus creating interference in the signal itself.
By adding this noise suppressor, the ground loop is completely galvanically isolated at a 1:1 ratio, meaning that the potential difference between the transmitter and receiver does not affect the signal. The result is a completely clean signal!
Another similar problem can occur if devices are connected to each other with a signal cable, but the power supplies are out of phase. Stray capacitance due to phase difference can thus cause interference in the system, especially at high frequencies. Note, therefore, that the noise suppressor only removes ground loops in the antenna cable that are caused by potential differences.
