What is the dummy load of an amplifier?

In some car models, the factory-installed player in the car mutes when an aftermarket amplifier is added to the speaker line and the player detects that there is no longer a speaker (resistor) in the speaker line. The ZXM400.4ISO solves the problem and allows you to use a six-ohm dummy load, which prevents the player from muting.
