The 105 SILVA - new open-back headphones designed to breathe life into every tone and redefine how we experience music. Inspired by the Mid-Century Modern design movement, its walnut wood earcups and radial PC-ABS grilles combine into a timeless shape, where vintage charm and contemporary aesthetics merge in a way that never truly ages.

A premium experience for the senses

The name SILVA, meaning "forest" in Romanian, is a tribute to the ancient forests that surround us in Maramures, a scenic region in Northwestern Romania. This natural inspiration is reflected in the headphones' warm, inviting sound and organic design. The 105 SILVA headphones consider what Meze Audio learned from the 109 PRO and 105 AER. The 105 SILVA incorporates sonic characteristics from both: richness and versatility across genres combined with clarity and detail. The particularly expressive mid-range reproduction enhances vocal presence and provides an even more natural rendition of, for example, acoustic string instruments.

W-shaped dome

The dome, made of carbon fiber-reinforced cellulose composite, is capable of reproducing high frequencies with incredible detail, clarity, and precision. This composite is more durable than traditional alternatives used in dynamic drivers, yet lightweight, helping to reduce resonances that could lead to harmonic distortion.

Ultra-thin surround

The torus surrounding the dome is made of a titanium-coated semi-crystalline polymer, designed to optimize stiffness, speed, and sound balance. The titanium coating, applied via physical vapor deposition (PVD), strengthens the membrane's structure while keeping it lightweight, ensuring a fast transient response and a pleasantly textured bass reproduction.

The torus features precisely positioned grooves at 45.5° angles, effectively controlling resonances.

Resonance control

A copper-zinc alloy stabilizer placed around the membrane enhances vibration absorption into the frame to further reduce distortion.

Soft ear pads that feel sooooo comfortable
Velour pads comfortably surround the ears, providing an optimal seal for natural sound creation. Being much softer and more breathable than leather, velour also prevents sweating and ears from getting hot during long listening sessions.

The self-adjusting headband optimally distributes weight and provides consistent pressure for listeners of all shapes and sizes.

Great equipment

The 105 SILVA features a new 1.8-meter OFC cable with a double-twisted, Kevlar-coated main conductor, left and right leads coated with a soft PVC finish, and an anthracite-colored aluminum housing. The cable is designed for durability, flexibility, and tangle-free use. In addition, a customized 3.5mm USB-C adapter with an integrated DA converter extends usability with mobile devices and maintains high-resolution playback on the go.
