The Marmitek HDMI ARC converter is a particularly welcome new product for owners of Genelec active loudspeakers, for example. Unfortunately, too many pairs of active loudspeakers are connected to the TV's headphone jack, which is the weakest compromise in terms of sound quality and often also visually, when the aim is to keep the number of devices to a minimum.
The Marmitek ARC13 is a very compact device that is installed between the TV's HDMI ARC connection and active loudspeakers (or a power amplifier and passive loudspeakers). Due to its miniature size, the device remains out of sight either behind the TV or furniture. Thanks to the high-quality DA converter and pre-amplification, the sound quality remains clean and clear. The TV's own remote control adjusts the volume. The ARC13 also includes a headphone jack, which is surprisingly missing from many modern TVs.
