The revised edition of the legendary GZNW15 subwoofer is now here! The product development for the new XMAXX series was challenging because its predecessor was ahead of its time with its ultra-long excursion.

Unique Technology

The XMAXX model features a high-roll surround, further developed from Ground Zero's SPL upper surround, which maintains its shape even when played from peak to peak. There are many similar drivers on the market, but often these lose control at maximum excursion – that doesn't happen here.

Due to the increased excursion, many internal changes have also been made to the motor to keep the airflow controlled and ensure the voice coil receives the necessary cooling. This is a common problem with similar drivers, but Ground Zero has recognized it, making the internal design of the motor unique.

Klippel Optimization

XMAXX is the world's first Klippel-optimized subwoofer with ultra-long excursion. All components are in balance with each other. We claim that XMAXX drivers are the only ones of their kind that allow you to enjoy air movement with excellent sound quality across the entire 10-70Hz band.

This driver can also play frequencies above 40Hz, which is usually impossible for drivers with 80-120mm mechanical excursion. (At high frequencies, turbulence forms in a normal motor, and the coil overheats immediately)
