Maple meets hemp

The RS2x has been completely redesigned to fully utilize the potential of the maple and hemp used in its construction. The earcups are made entirely of maple, and a hemp core holds the whole structure together. Grado uses wood as a structural material due to its warm and captivating sonic profile, and the RS2x represents a great leap forward for the RS2 series.

Signature Sound

The headphone driver and its housing work together to react to sound vibrations and almost entirely eliminate transient distortion. The headphones' balanced sound and world-class midrange reproduction captivate the listener from the very first notes.

X-Series Drivers

The fourth-generation X-Series headphone drivers are here. Specifically tuned to work in the RS2x's wooden enclosure, this new driver features a more robust magnetic motor, a lighter voice coil, and a redesigned diaphragm. The redesign of these components has improved the efficiency of the 44mm driver, reduced distortion values, and better preserved the authenticity of musical tones.

New Cable Design

The Prestige X series features a completely redesigned cable that offers greater durability and flexibility. The 8-conductor cable now has a very pleasant braided sleeve and a pure copper conductor inside, which improves the purity of the audio signal.

Handmade in Brooklyn

Like all previous models since 1953, the RS2x are also handcrafted in Brooklyn.
