Midbass

The MAX K2-64 has a sturdy cast-body 6.5″ midbass. The element has a low Fs value (59.1Hz), so in addition to the midrange, the speaker's midbass reproduction is very dynamic and powerful.
The cone material is pressed paper pulp with a WRC (Water Repellent Coating) coating. This makes the cone very light, which increases the sensitivity of the element, but at the same time the cone material is very durable and the coating is also water resistant. The upper suspension is flexible nitrile rubber and the lower suspension is polycotton / nomex® fabric.

The voice coil is cooled using DVS (Dual Ventilation System) technology, which is also used in GAS subwoofers.

The midbasses come with very sturdy and stylish metal meshes.

Treble

The MAX K2-64 series tweeter has a cast body, like the midbass. The silk dome tweeter has a very soft and effortless sound, reproducing even the brightest notes cleanly.

Crossover filters

Installing the separate set is easy, as each element has its own passive filter made of high-quality components. This makes installation easier if the midbass is mounted in a door and the tweeters are mounted on the dashboard or A-pillars, for example. The passive filters for both the midbass and tweeters are compact.

Depending on the installation location, sometimes the treble phase needs to be reversed from the midbass phase. The treble filters have a phase reversal feature, which makes it easy to test which setting works better in your car. In addition, the treble level can be lowered by two decibels with a jumper on the filter.
