GAS MAD S3-10D2

GAS MAD S3 series 10″ sub with double-double coils.

The GAS MAD S3 subwoofers were designed based on GAS's most affordable MAD S2 model, and the aim was to make the new "Äs Kolmonen" tougher in all areas, but still keep the price of the subwoofer as affordable as possible.

The MAD S3 subwoofers have been completely redesigned, including 2 x 2ohm voice coils, the cones are made of unpressed paper pulp, the top suspensions are double stitched, the magnets are double, and the dust cups are aluminum with the GAS 3D logo.

A cone familiar from the MAX series
The cones of the MAD S3 subwoofers are made of unpressed paper pulp and the cone material is the same as that used by GAS in all of their more expensive MAX series subs. The rubber upper suspensions are also tougher than the MAD S2 version and the suspensions are also double stitched.
The whole thing is topped off with a stylish aluminum dust cup with a 3D GAS logo.

Double magnets and double coils
The GAS MAD S3 subwoofers feature four-layer two-inch TIL® copper voice coils.
The metal frame has DVS “Dual Ventilation System” cooling, which effectively transfers heat away from the voice coil.
The crowning glory of the MAD S3 motor is a 2 x 52oz double magnet.

Small details
Not only do the MAD S3 subs sound great, they look great too.
The black-and-orange element is surrounded by a stylish plastic ring, the voice coil ventilation holes are in line with the GAS logo, and the elements are really nicely finished on all sides, both front and back.
