Main Features

  • The magnetic motor has been optimized with FEA simulation to ensure a perfectly symmetrical magnetic flux in both directions of the cone's movement.
  • Particular attention has been paid to the axial and radial ventilation of the voice coil for high power handling, low distortion, and long lifespan. The staggered structure allows for a very long cone excursion.
  • The metallic parts are CNC-machined from solid and refined material to maximize magnetic flux linearity and minimize magnetic losses. This reduces distortion at high power levels.
  • The magnetic field incorporates a pure copper ring to reduce harmonic distortion.
  • The 25 mm CCAW (Copper Clad Aluminum Wire) double-layer voice coil is wound around an aluminum former for exceptional power handling and compression-free reproduction even in the most demanding musical passages.
  • The carbon fiber-reinforced polymer composite exponential cone offers exceptional rigidity combined with extremely low weight.
  • The eight-spoke anti-resonant and self-extinguishing carbon fiber-reinforced ABS basket dramatically reduces reflections from the rear of the cone. This basket design ensures high structural and torsional rigidity, essential for perfect alignment of components and very tight manufacturing tolerances.
  • ESB's exclusively designed TSW (Twin Symmetrical Wave) double asymmetrical rubber suspension allows for perfectly progressive and linear movement. This feature ensures natural low-frequency reproduction at both low and high volumes.
  • The large Conex® spider allows for smooth and consistent movement at small excursions and gently holds the cone in place at large excursions, thus extending the usable frequency range.
