Denon's Original Disc Mechanism

Discs are loaded and read by Denon's own high-quality S.V.H. (Suppress Vibration Hybrid) mechanism. New, shorter signal paths and precisely designed circuits ensure an interference-free signal. The hybrid structure of the S.V.H. mechanism guarantees the quietest and most stable reading possible, minimizing the need for error correction. The mechanism's low center of gravity dampens vibrations both inside and outside the structure. By eliminating excess vibration, the functions required of the servo are minimized. Reducing unnecessary controls and power consumption allows for optimal accuracy in reading digital signals from the disc.

DAC Master Clock Design

Thanks to the player's DAC Master Clock design, the player's D/A converter acts as the clock signal generator for the digital circuits, ensuring that the circuits operate in perfect synchronization. The clock signal placed near the D/A converter reduces jitter and ensures the highest possible accuracy in D/A conversion. The clock signal power circuit has also been significantly improved to harness the full potential of the high-quality clock signal. The DCD-1700NE player has two separate clock signals, one for each base frequency of the sampling rate (44.1 kHz and 48 kHz).

DSD Music File Playback

In addition to CDs and Super Audio CDs, the DCD-1700NE can play DSD (2.8 Mhz / 5.6 MHz) files and high-resolution audio files (192 kHz / 24 bit) stored on DVD-R/RW or DVD+R/RW discs. Furthermore, music files stored on CD-R/RW discs can be played up to a sampling rate of 48 kHz.
