CTK WaveFix is a latex-impregnated polyurethane mat. The mat's structure conceals closed and semi-open pores of various sizes. The wave-like shape offers better damping performance than a flat mat, and WaveFix "remembers its shape." This means that when the mat is glued, for example, behind a plastic panel and the panel is installed, the WaveFix slowly returns to its original wave-like shape, sealing the space behind the panel very effectively.
The mat's damping performance is best at frequencies above 500Hz, but the reduction of unwanted noise begins at around one hundred hertz. If the goal is to achieve the most effective damping in a car, CTK WaveFix is the solution.
WaveFix is also optimal for eliminating various creaks and other resonance noises, for example, from doors, the roof, the boot lid, the dashboard, and the A, B, and C-pillars.
CTK WaveFix is very flexible, so it can be installed on even very complex surfaces. It is recommended to install the mat on top of either CTK Premium or CTK Practic mats.
In addition to sound absorption, WaveFix insulates heat and prevents the formation of bacteria, mold, and moisture.
WaveFix can also be used in industry for sound insulation of various machines and inside speaker and subwoofer enclosures.
