Car settings management
When replacing the factory-installed head unit in a VW Crafter, it is particularly important not to lose the car settings controlled through the original head unit. Alpine offers a unique solution for this, allowing you to modify the car's settings from the Halo9 / Halo11 head unit's touchscreen.*

*) If the original head unit has traffic sign recognition, this function will be disabled. The kit does not support cars with Active Information Display.

Original steering wheel controls
With this installation kit, the car's steering wheel controls remain in normal use when an Alpine Halo9 / Halo11 head unit is installed in your car. You can adjust the volume, answer and reject calls, change the program source, etc.
If you use an iPhone, you can activate Siri with a single button press and access all of Siri's voice commands.

MFD display
The AH-KIT-VW05 also supports the car's MFD (Multi-Function Display) in the instrument cluster. You can see the radio station name, song information, etc., just as with the original head unit.

Parking sensor and rearview camera display
If your car has a factory-installed parking sensor, this also works seamlessly with Alpine. If a rearview camera is installed in your car, you can choose to display the rearview camera and parking sensor views simultaneously.

Climate control display
When you adjust the car's climate control, Alpine displays this information on the large screen, indicating, among other things, the driver's and passenger's side temperatures, seat heater information, and fan speed. This information automatically appears on the screen for a few seconds when any climate control setting is changed.

Pre-Flight Check
For motorhome and camper use, Alpine can remind you when starting, for example, that the car's gas valves are closed, all necessary doors are closed, the car's support legs are removed, etc.
You can select the settings specific to your car or completely disable these reminders.

The AH-KIT-VW05 is compatible with ILX-F115D, ILX-F905D, INE-F904D, and INE-F904DC head units.
