Updated motors
The second-generation R-series subwoofers feature a large double magnet, which allows for lower frequency response and tighter reproduction compared to the previous R-Series generation. The "Faraday Ring" integrated into the voice coil increases power handling and reduces potential distortion, which in turn provides clean bass reproduction even at higher volumes than before. R-Series subwoofer cones are Kevlar-reinforced, making the cone extremely durable without adding too much weight.

Top-class performance, already in its second generation
Before the R-Series, Alpine had the Type-R series, which became known for its performance, reliability, and extremely tight bass reproduction. The second-generation R-Series, now on the market, offers even better bass reproduction than its predecessor!

Alpine reliability
The new polypropylene/ceramic composite cone is very stiff, so the cone does not have a life of its own and the frequency response is smoother, and the cone material is very durable.

Versatile uses
All new R-Series subwoofers have dual voice coils (2 x 4ohm or 2 x 2ohm) and jumpers are included with the subwoofers, making different connection options easy to implement. The new "EZ-Change" collar creates a stylish installation, and the EZ-Change ring hides the mounting screws.

Even more precise reproduction
R-Series subwoofers feature Alpine's patented HAMR (High Amplitude Multi-Roll) surround. The cone excursion is increased, and the surround keeps the cone movement significantly better under control than with a traditional surround.

Six different versions
The new R-Series subwoofer lineup covers three different sizes (8″, 10″, 12″) and each subwoofer is available in 2 x 2ohm and 2 x 4ohm versions.
