Redesigned Motors

The second-generation R2-series subwoofers feature a large double magnet, allowing for deeper and tighter bass reproduction compared to the previous R-Series generation. The "Faraday Ring" integrated into the voice coil increases power handling and reduces potential distortion, which in turn provides clean bass reproduction even at higher volumes than before. The cones of the R2-Series subwoofers are Kevlar-reinforced, making the cone extremely durable without excessive weight gain.

Top-tier performance, now in its second generation

Before the R-Series, Alpine had the Type-R series, which became known for its performance, reliability, and very tight bass reproduction. Now, the second-generation R2-Series, which has entered the market, offers even better bass reproduction than its predecessor!

Alpine's Reliability

The new polypropylene/ceramic composite cone is truly rigid, preventing the cone from acting independently, resulting in a smoother frequency response, and the cone material is extremely durable.

Versatile Applications

All new R2 subwoofers feature dual voice coils (2 x 4ohm or 2 x 2ohm), and jumpers are included with the subwoofers for easy implementation of different wiring options. The new "EZ-Change" trim ring creates a stylish installation, and the EZ-Change ring conceals the mounting screws.

Even More Precise Reproduction

R2-Series subwoofers feature Alpine's patented H.A.M.R. suspension (High Amplitude Multi-Roll). This allows for increased cone excursion, and the suspension maintains significantly better control over cone movement than traditional suspensions.

Six Different Versions

The new R2-Series subwoofer lineup includes three different sizes (8″, 10″, 12″), and each subwoofer is available in 2 x 2ohm and 2 x 4ohm versions.
