Redesigned Motors

Second-generation R2-Series subwoofers feature a large dual magnet that delivers deeper and tighter reproduction compared to the previous R-Series generation. The integrated “Faraday Ring” in the voice coil increases power handling and reduces potential distortion, delivering cleaner bass even at higher volume levels than before. R2-Series subwoofers feature Kevlar-reinforced cones, making them extremely durable without adding excessive weight.

Top-Class Performance in the Second Generation

Before the R-Series, Alpine had the Type-R range, which became known for its performance, reliability, and exceptionally tight bass. Now, the second-generation R2-Series range has arrived, delivering even better bass performance than its predecessor!

Alpine Reliability

The new polypropylene/ceramic composite cone is exceptionally rigid, preventing unwanted cone movement and providing a more consistent response, while also being extremely durable.

Versatile Installation Options

All new R2 subwoofers feature dual voice coils (2 x 4 ohms or 2 x 2 ohms) and include jumpers that make it easy to select different wiring options. The new “EZ-Change” collar creates a stylish installation, while the EZ-Change ring conceals the mounting screws.

Even More Accurate Reproduction

R2-Series subwoofers feature Alpine’s patented H.A.M.R. (High Amplitude Multi-Roll) suspension. It increases cone excursion and provides significantly better control over cone movement than traditional suspension.

Six Different Versions

The new R2-Series subwoofer range includes three different sizes (8″, 10″, 12″), with 2 x 2 ohm and 2 x 4 ohm versions available for each subwoofer.
