The third generation of Alpine's R-Series is here!
Alpine has revamped its entire R-Series speaker lineup, and all new models are now Hi-Res Audio certified, with a frequency response extending up to 40 kilohertz!
For the first time in Alpine's history, the R-Series now includes a three-way component system, a highly requested feature in recent years. Two different options are available for the two-way component systems: Standard and Professional.
In addition to component systems, coaxial speakers are also available for 6.5″ and 6x9″ speakers.
Alpine 2022 R-Series lineup:
6 x 9″ component system
The R2-S69C is a component system from the new R-Series lineup, featuring a 6 x 9″ mid-bass driver and a 4.3cm tweeter. The completely redesigned series offers a very wide frequency response, from 65 hertz up to forty kilohertz.
Glass fiber reinforced cone
New to the R-Series mid-bass drivers are glass fiber reinforced cones. The cone material is extremely lightweight and rigid, resulting in highly accurate sound reproduction.
Composite frames and large magnets
All new R-Series "Standard" models (R2-S65, R2-S65C, R2-S69 and R2-S69C) feature composite frames, while "Pro" models have cast frames.
The new models have significantly larger magnets than previous R-Series models, yet the mounting depth has been maintained.
Hi-Res Audio tweeters
The new magnesium-dome tweeters reproduce even the smallest musical details with great precision, with a frequency response extending up to 40kHz.
You can install the tweeters with surface-mount cups or flush-mount cups. Both installation options allow for aiming the tweeters within their cups.
Easy installability
The tweeters are dismountable, making it easier to install them in the factory tweeter location of a car, such as in the A-pillar, mirror triangle, or door panel. This type of installation helps maintain the car's interior aesthetics.
High-pass crossovers
The very compact tweeter crossovers are easy to install, and in most cases, they can be directly connected to the original tweeter wire, for example, behind the door panel. This significantly saves installation time compared to large three-way or two-way crossovers.
The tweeter crossover has a three-level attenuation switch (-3dB / 0dB / +3dB).
HAMR Surround
Thanks to Alpine's HAMR (High-Amplitude Multi-Roll) surround, the cone's excursion remains linear at all volume levels, resulting in very controlled bass reproduction even at higher volumes.
New grilles
The grilles of the third-generation R-Series are both sturdy and aesthetically pleasing.
