Description
The third generation of Alpine's R-Series is here!
Alpine has revamped its entire R-Series speaker lineup, and all new models are now Hi-Res Audio certified, with a frequency response extending up to 40 kilohertz!
For the first time in Alpine's history, the R-Series lineup now also includes a three-way component set, which has been highly requested in recent years. Two different options are available for two-way component sets: Standard and Professional.
In addition to component sets, coaxial speakers are also available for 6.5″ and 6x9″ speakers.
Alpine 2022 R-Series lineup:
- R2-S65 Standard (6.5″ coaxial)
- R2-S69 Standard (6×9″ coaxial)
- R2-S65C Standard (6.5″ component set)
- R2-S69C Standard (6×9″ component set)
- R2-S652 PROFESSIONAL (6.5″ component set)
- R2-S653 PROFESSIONAL (6.5″ three-way set)
6.5″ Component Set
The R2-S65C is the component set of the new R-Series lineup, featuring a 6.5″ mid-bass driver and a 4.3cm tweeter. The completely redesigned set has a very wide frequency response, from 65 Hertz up to 40 kilohertz.
Fiberglass Reinforced Cone
New to the R-Series mid-bass drivers are fiberglass-reinforced cones. The cone material is very light and extremely rigid, which allows for extremely precise reproduction.
Composite Frames and Large Magnets
All new R-Series "Standard" models (R2-S65, R2-S65C, R2-S69 and R2-S69C) feature composite frames, while "Pro" models have cast frames.
The new models have significantly larger magnets than their predecessors in the R-Series, but the mounting depth has still been kept the same.
Hi-Res Audio Tweeters
The new magnesium-cone tweeters reproduce the smallest details of music with exceptional precision, with a frequency response extending up to 40kHz.
You can mount the tweeters with surface-mount cups or use flush-mount cups. Both mounting options allow for further aiming of the tweeters within their cups.
Easy Installability
The tweeters can be disassembled, making it easier to install them in place of the car's factory-installed tweeters, for example, in the A-pillar, mirror triangle, or door panel, in a wider range of cars. This type of installation helps maintain the car's interior aesthetic.
High-Pass Crossovers
The very compact tweeter crossovers are easy to install, and in most cases, they can be installed directly between the original tweeter wire, for example, behind the door panel, which significantly saves installation time compared to large three-way or two-way crossovers.
The tweeter crossover has a three-step level adjustment (-3dB / 0dB / +3dB).
HAMR Surround
Thanks to Alpine's HAMR (High-Amplitude Multi-Roll) surround, the cone's excursion remains linear at all volumes, which ensures very controlled bass response even at higher volumes.
New Grilles
The grilles of the third-generation R-Series are both sturdy and very stylish. The grilles are designed so that the outer diameter of the speakers does not increase at all.
