Alpine R2-S652 6.5" Component Speaker System Professional Hi-Res

The third generation of Alpine's R-Series is here!

Alpine has revamped its entire R-Series speaker lineup, and all new models are now Hi-Res Audio certified, with a frequency response extending up to 40 kilohertz!
For the first time in Alpine's history, the R-Series now also includes a three-way component set, which has been highly anticipated in recent years. Two different options are available for the two-way component sets: Standard and Professional.

6.5″ PROFESSIONAL component set
The R2-S652 is the "PROFESSIONAL" component set in the new R-Series lineup, featuring cast-frame 6.5″ mid-bass drivers, 4.3cm tweeters, and high-quality two-way crossovers. The completely redesigned set has a very wide frequency response, from 65 hertz up to 40 kilohertz.

Glass Fiber Reinforced Cone
New to the R-Series mid-bass drivers are glass fiber reinforced cones. The cone material is extremely light and rigid, resulting in very precise reproduction.

Cast Frames and Large Magnets
Alpine R-Series PROFESSIONAL component sets (R2-S652 and R2-S653) feature cast-frame mid-bass drivers, while all speakers in the more affordable "Standard" lineup have composite frames.
The advantage of an aluminum frame is a completely vibration-free structure and the possibility of using heavier magnets. Despite the larger magnets, the mounting depth of the mid-bass driver has been kept the same as in the previous R-Series lineup.

Hi-Res Audio Tweeters
The new magnesium-dome tweeters reproduce even the smallest details of music with great precision, and the response extends all the way to 40kHz.
You can mount the tweeters with surface-mount cups or use flush-mount cups. Both mounting options allow for further aiming of the tweeters within their cups.

Easy Installability
The tweeter speakers are detachable, making it possible to install them in the place of factory-installed tweeters in more vehicles, for example, in the A-pillar, mirror triangle, or door panel. This type of installation helps maintain the original appearance of the car's interior.

Top-Class Two-Way Crossovers
R-Series PROFESSIONAL component sets have larger crossovers than the Standard models, using only top-class components for the best possible sound quality. The crossovers feature three-level tweeter attenuation (-3dB / 0dB / +3dB).

HAMR Suspension
Alpine's HAMR (High-Amplitude Multi-Roll) suspension ensures that the cone's excursion remains linear at all volume levels, resulting in very controlled bass reproduction even at higher volumes.

New Grilles
The grilles of the third-generation R-Series are both sturdy and aesthetically pleasing. The grilles are designed so that the outer diameter of the speakers does not increase at all.
