Second-Generation Alpine Halo9
Since its launch, the Alpine Halo9 has won numerous awards and become one of the world's most famous and popular car stereos. We have further developed the player and now made it even better. This second-generation Halo9 includes, among other things, a 720p WXGA display, wireless Apple CarPlay, two USB connections, and we have, among other things, further improved its sound quality, added adjustment possibilities, and much, much more.
9″ XL-sized WXGA display
The Alpine Halo9 has a resolution of 1280 x 720p (WXGA), meaning the display has over 2.7 million pixels. This ensures that all icons, menu selections, and, for example, navigation map data are displayed very sharply and clearly.
The display is attached to a 1-DIN chassis, which is designed to fit most 1- and 2-DIN installation slots.
Wireless Apple CarPlay
The iLX-F905D works wirelessly with your iPhone, allowing you to, among other things, receive and make calls, dictate messages with Siri, and use applications like Google Maps, Apple Maps, WhatsApp, or Spotify streaming while your phone is in your pocket.
Siri can be easily activated by pressing the voice control button on the player once.
Two USB inputs
The Alpine Halo9 does not include a CD/DVD mechanism, but thanks to the two USB connections, you can, for example, charge your phone via one connector, and the other connector can host a USB stick or hard drive from which you play music and video files.
Angle, depth, and height adjustment
When the iLX-F905D is installed in the dashboard, there are several different installation possibilities. The display's depth adjustment has two positions, and there are five different options for height. The display's tilt angle can be adjusted steplessly, and unlike the first-generation Halo9 player, the display's tilt can also be adjusted after the player's installation.
The world's first car stereo with a Class-D amplifier
The Alpine iLX-F905D is the world's first aftermarket car stereo with a built-in 4 x 50W amplifier. The advantage of a Class-D amplifier is its incredibly high efficiency (approximately 90%) compared to the efficiency of a Class-AB amplifier (approximately 50-70%). New and almost silent high-speed fans keep the player cool.
Sound quality pioneer
Alpine's sound quality has become a concept worldwide, against which other head unit brands are always compared.
A 56-band parametric equalizer, two-way crossovers, six-channel digital time correction, and separate Bass Engine SQ and MediaXpander allow you to adjust the sound exactly as you want it.
And that's not all, as the iLX-F905D is Hi-Res Audio certified and the player is capable of playing 96kHz / 1.536 kbps lossless files from USB in FLAC, WAV, and APE formats.
Entertainment on the big screen
In addition to the traditional RDS tuner, you also have a digital DAB radio, as well as the ability to play video files (MP4, MOV, FLV, MKV) via the USB connection. Bluetooth, in turn, enables music playback from your phone and hands-free calls, and you can bring video and audio from an external device to the HDMI input. When you connect your Android phone with a USB cable, you get access to all Android Auto functions, such as Spotify, Google Maps, Waze, etc.
Vehicle Data-Bus
If your car is equipped with factory-installed parking sensors, Alpine offers optional info adapters for many car models, allowing you to use the parking sensors and original steering wheel controls with the Halo9 player.
Certain adapters also support climate/heating system information.
Camera Control
A reversing camera is an accessory we recommend for every car. The camera's image appears automatically on the large 9″ screen when reverse gear is engaged. The camera's guide lines can be adjusted to your car's dimensions, making reversing and judging distances even easier.
Due to the player's large screen, we recommend connecting only Alpine MultiView cameras to it, which have sufficient 1280 x 960 resolution.
Alpine DVR-C320S Dash Cam Control
The Alpine Halo9 is compatible with the Alpine DVR-C320S dash cam. You can view the camera's live feed and recorded footage on the large screen, and easily change camera settings from the touch screen.
