Wireless Apple CarPlay

The iLX-F115D-G7 works wirelessly with your iPhone, allowing you to make and receive calls, dictate messages via Siri or WhatsApp, and use apps like Google Maps, Apple Maps, or Spotify streaming while your phone is in your pocket.

Android Auto

Android Auto comes standard on all Android phones with Android 11.0 or later. With Android Auto, you can use apps like Spotify, Google Maps, Waze, etc., directly from the player's screen when you connect your phone with a USB cable. The iLX-F115D-G7's USB port has a 2.4 amp output, so your phone charges quickly while driving.

Travel Comfort

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto significantly enhance travel comfort. You can access dozens of different phone applications directly from Alpine's touchscreen, and if you're accustomed to using services like Spotify, Supla, or BookBeat on your phone, you'll now control all of these from Alpine's large touchscreen.
Naturally, you can also listen to audiobooks, streaming services, or internet radio simultaneously while using navigation apps from Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

Car Settings Management

When replacing the factory-installed head unit in a VW Golf, it's particularly important not to lose the car settings controlled by the original unit. Alpine offers a unique solution for this, allowing you to modify your car's settings from the touchscreen of your new head unit.*

You won't lose your reverse camera or parking sensors

If your car has Volkswagen's original reverse camera and/or original parking sensors, these will work seamlessly with the iLX-F115D-G7. You can also get both the sensor and camera views simultaneously on Alpine's 11″ display if you wish.

Original Steering Wheel Controls

Your car's original steering wheel controls also work with the iLX-F115D-G7. You can perform basic functions without taking your hands off the wheel, such as muting the player, changing the source or radio station, adjusting the volume, etc.

MFD Display

The Alpine iLX-F115D-G7 also supports the car's MFD (Multi-Function Display) in the instrument cluster. You can see the radio station name and track information, just as with the original head unit.

Air Conditioning Display

When you adjust the air conditioning in your VW Golf, Alpine displays this information on the large screen, indicating, among other things, the driver and passenger side temperatures, seat heater information, and fan speed.
The information appears on the screen automatically for a few seconds when any air conditioning setting is changed.

Two USB Inputs

The Alpine iLX-F115D-G7 comes with a USB/Aux connection, which replaces the car's original USB port. This allows you to use the USB connection as you are accustomed to with the original head unit.

Original Microphone

If your car has Volkswagen's own hands-free microphone, the iLX-F115D-G7 is compatible with it, which simplifies and speeds up installation.
Note: If your car does not have an original microphone, you will need a microphone (part number: 3BO 035 711 B B41) and a KWE-901G7MIC adapter cable.

World's First Car Stereo with Class-D Amplifier

The Alpine iLX-F115D-G7 is the world's first aftermarket car head unit with a built-in 4 x 50W Class-D amplifier. The advantage of Class-D is its incredibly high efficiency (approximately 90%) compared to the efficiency of a Class AB amplifier (approximately 50-70%). New and nearly silent high-speed fans keep the head unit cool.

Sound Quality Pioneer

Alpine's sound quality has become a global benchmark against which other head unit brands are always compared.
The 56-band parametric equalizer, two-way crossovers, six-channel digital time correction, and separate Bass Engine SQ and MediaXpander allow you to customize the sound exactly how you want it.
And that's not all; the iLX-F115D-W447 is Hi-Res Audio certified and can play lossless 96kHZ / 1.536 kbps files from USB in FLAC, WAV, and APE formats.

TIDAL App

Alpine ILX-705D / ILX-F905D / ILX-F115D are the world's first aftermarket car head units that enable completely uncompressed music streaming from TIDAL. With Alpine, you create a WiFi connection, e.g., to your phone's hotspot, after which Alpine connects directly to TIDAL's servers. Music is not compressed or packaged at any stage, providing the best possible sound quality!
When the phone's hotspot and TIDAL are active, Apple CarPlay exceptionally requires the phone to be connected to the head unit via a USB cable.
The TIDAL app requires the head unit software to be updated to version 2.0.000
