Best Sound Quality
The Alpine Status series incorporates many technologies, components, and materials familiar from Alpine's F#1 Status series, guaranteeing the best possible sound quality – but at a more affordable price than the F#1 Status series.
Alpine Status is capable of playing music at up to 192kHz/24bit quality, available from various online services and streaming platforms.
High-End Two-Way System
The Alpine F#1 Status series has been a very significant influence on Alpine Status speakers, both in terms of technology and materials. The speaker set includes 170mm mid-woofers, 70mm ring-radiator tweeters, and high-end passive crossovers.
The speaker set is Hi-Res Audio certified and capable of reproducing frequencies up to 40kHz.
Carbon Fiber
All drivers in the HDS-65C speaker set use the same carbon fiber composite cone, achieving the most consistent sound reproduction across all drivers. Carbon fiber composite as a material is extremely light yet rigid, allowing for a very wide dynamic range and minimal distortion.
Double Surround
Like the Alpine F#1 Status series, the Status speakers also feature a double upper surround.
The double upper surround allows for a large excursion of the cone and keeps the cone under unprecedented control. Compared to traditional surrounds, the Alpine Status speaker's excursion remains exceptionally well controlled.
High-End Ring-Radiator Tweeters
The sound of the 70mm ring-radiator tweeters is truly pleasant and effortless, and the speakers' reproduction extends up to 40kHz. The drivers feature a 25mm carbon fiber composite cone, and the harmony and integration of the reproduction with the mid-bass midrange are truly seamless.
The tweeters have a chamber structure and a powerful neodymium magnet.
Complete Alpine Status System
All components of the Alpine Status series are designed purely for sound quality, with the best possible listening pleasure in mind. Unlike the F#1 Status series, all components of Alpine Status can be purchased separately.
High-Quality Crossovers
If the speaker set is to be driven passively, the HDS-653 comes with high-quality three-way crossovers assembled from top-notch components.
The crossovers have tweeter level adjustments (0, -3dB, +3dB) and you can choose a mid-bass crossover slope of 12dB or 6dB / octave.
Peak of Sound Quality
Alpine Status can reproduce music at up to 192kHz/24bit quality, which uses over six times the amount of data compared to a traditional CD or streaming service.
This allows you to extract even the finest nuances and details from the music and get as close to studio-level sound as possible.
