Perfectly Balanced

Together with the GT-5000 turntable and M-5000 power amplifier, Yamaha offers an end-to-end balanced signal chain in all its flagship models to ensure premium performance.

Floating and Balanced Preamplifier

The C-5000 preamplifier features fully balanced and discrete circuit transfer in all stages of the Tone Defeat signal path.

Proprietary floating design is used in the phono EQ input amplification and line amplification stages – to remove ground noise from the signal.

Symmetrical, Folding Circuit Board Design

The folding design of the preamplifier's circuit boards reflects the left and right signal paths for precise matching and layout.

Each channel is physically identical, allowing the C-5000 to deliver the most accurate sound reproduction, which is both wide and deep.

Furthermore, ground loop is minimized when other components are connected.

Dual Toroidal Transformers

The use of independent dual toroidal transformers for the left and right channels results in optimal separation and thus produces a soundscape that is faithful to the original sound source.

Low magnetic flux leakage reduces adverse effects on the audio signal. As a result of careful research based on listening tests, the power transformer is enclosed in a copper casing to prevent magnetic leakage and vibration. This also helps minimize the effect of leakage on the phono circuit.

The result is a gentle, calm, and spacious sound, a consequence of improved reproduction of detailed signals.

Low Impedance Construction

The copper plates of the chassis minimize the effect of voltage on the circuit, allowing the C-5000 to reproduce the most delicate sound nuances as well as powerful bass sounds.

In addition, thick screw-type wires are used to reduce the power supply impedance and maximize the transfer of music-related information.

Original Design

The C-5000 is entirely designed to provide top-level listening experiences – aesthetics and emotion.

The knobs and toggle switches feature an original design, exuding both innovation and craftsmanship.

The volume control knob is robust and precise – ball bearings and precisely cut aluminum create pleasant sound reproduction, and the toggle switches are also finished for top-level usability.

Custom-Made Feet

Every detail of the C-5000 flagship model has been carefully considered during the design process. Its construction exudes masterful craftsmanship and passion to achieve the best possible performance.

The device's feet are no exception. Similar to the M-5000 model, the custom-made, heavy-duty brass feet are either fully supported by spikes or with scratch protection for delicate surfaces.
