To continuously push the boundaries of audio purity, the MOON 820S power supply was born from meticulous research and development and an uncompromising pursuit of perfection.

  • Can power up to two devices
  • Designed for both digital and analog devices
  • Two custom-made Simaudio proprietary toroidal transformers with lower magnetic, electrical, and thermal losses than before. This improves current transfer and reduces the regulation factor, which results in faster power delivery and improved dynamics. There are two transformers – one for the analog and one for the digital power supply.
  • The analog and digital power supplies feature two special "pi-filters" immediately after voltage stabilization. They reduce mains noise using 40,000 µF capacitance (4 × 10,000 µF) and dual chokes (2 × 20 mH).
  • Both analog and digital power supplies have four stages of Simaudio's proprietary M-R2S circuit: a fully discrete voltage regulation circuit where a precision reference feeds an amplifier composed of multiple ICs and transistors instead of a single regulator chip. The M-R2S produces exceptionally fast, highly accurate, and virtually noise-free DC voltage, with perfect stability of the voltage level.
  • Four-layer circuit boards with pure copper conductors and extremely low impedance. This results in significantly shorter signal paths and a clearly lower noise level.
