Rega Planar 10 turntable

The Rega Planar 10 is directly derived from the manufacturer's reference player, the Naiad, and is built with the same design philosophy: the smallest possible mass combined with maximum rigidity. The turntable plinth is made from Tancast 8 polyurethane foam, developed in the aerospace industry, and pressed between HPL surface laminates. This achieves structural stability and extremely low internal resonance.

The tonearm is the new RB3000, which uses hand-matched precision bearings and a redesigned tonearm structure profile. The tonearm is made from a single piece of aluminum alloy, eliminating micro-vibrations caused by multiple joint points.

The 24V synchronous motor is attached to a lightweight motor housing that is mechanically isolated from the plinth. The motor is controlled by an external PSU10 power supply, which uses DSP-controlled sine wave drive to optimize motor frequency and phase shift. The system minimizes motor noise and maximizes rotational stability.

The platter is made from precisely machined ceramic oxide material. Its high mass and rigidity, combined with the ceramic precision bearing, produce extremely low wow & flutter values and stable rotation speed.

An international test winner – the Rega Planar 10 has been recognized in several prestigious hi-fi publications. What Hi-Fi? awarded the device a full 5 stars for its excellent transparency and dynamics. Hi-Fi+ chose it as Product of the Year, and The Absolute Sound and Hi-Fi Choice praised its technical and musical balance. Stereophile classified the Planar 10 in the highest quality class (Class A), specifically commending its neutrality and detail.
