The Q Acoustics 3050c is, in many ways, the ideal floorstanding speaker. It's large enough to reproduce the presence and power of music and reveal even the smallest details and nuances - yet it's elegant and well-proportioned enough not to draw too much attention to itself.

The new 3000c speaker series features the C3 Continuous Curved Cone™ mid/bass driver design, first introduced in the award-winning 5000 series and M40 micro tower speakers. Q Acoustics' latest technical platform elevates the 3000c speaker a class higher, delivering sound defined by a clear and fast midrange, controlled yet powerful bass dynamics, and nuanced and detailed high frequencies.

Notable features

P2P™ (Point to Point) bracing - cabinet resonances are minimized by intelligent internal bracing.

The revolutionary C3 cone is at the heart of the 3000c mid/bass driver design. The cone geometry requires exceptional motor force for optimal performance, so the voice coil is driven by remarkably robust magnets. The control provided by the large magnets ensures excellent dynamic response, capacity, and tight bass. A magnetic field evenly distributed across different cone positions reduces harmonic distortion.

Following the design principle of the tweeter used in the latest Concept series, the driver is hermetically sealed and mechanically isolated (floating) from the front baffle to prevent internal pressure fluctuations within the cabinet from the adjacent mid/bass driver. The inner chamber is also carefully vented for lower distortion, and its lower crossover frequency allows for seamless integration around the crossover region.

Like all floorstanding speakers, the 3050c is susceptible to internal pressure buildup, which causes unwanted standing waves. To prevent this, specially designed HPE™ (Helmholtz Pressure Equaliser™) tubes are installed inside the cabinet to counteract internal pressure and improve frequency response.

Q Acoustics' P2P™ (Point to Point™) bracing, used throughout the 3000c series, supports critical areas of the cabinet, making the new enclosures exceptionally rigid, enhancing stereo image accuracy, and giving the soundstage more airiness than ever before.
