Monitor Audio Silver 50 7G Bookshelf Speaker. Color: Oak
The smallest bookshelf speaker in the new Silver series. Despite its small size, the Monitor Audio Silver 50 is capable of dynamic and engaging sound.
The smallest bookshelf speaker in the 7th generation of the Silver series offers a very comprehensive listening experience despite its compact size. Of course, the very lowest bass rumbles are not reproduced, but when listening to music, the focus is primarily on the clear and naturally reproduced mid-range, which the Silver 50's crisp and distinct bass response beautifully complements. This is a speaker that excels at conveying the emotion of music.
The acoustic design of the Silver 50 takes into account the speaker's operation near room boundaries such as walls. The fact is that in few homes can speakers be installed 50-100cm away from all wall surfaces, even if this would sometimes ensure the best sound quality. The Silver 50 speaker can be placed very close to wall surfaces without a significant deterioration in the speaker's tonal balance.
The Silver 7G series speakers utilize the latest generation RST II drivers. This technology ensures an even stiffer and lighter cone. The result is a crisper and cleaner reproduction that renders even the smallest details contained in the recording more faithfully.
Also for home theater.
If you are a home theater enthusiast, you can easily create a comprehensive home theater around the Silver 50 speakers. The Silver range includes the high-quality Silver C250 model, which perfectly matches the sound of the Silver 50. If the Silver C250 is too large, the Radius 200 series center speaker is also suitable for use as a center speaker in the Silver series.
For surround sound, you can use an identical Silver 50 or the wall-mounted Silver FX model. If these options are too large, the Radius 90 and Radius 225 models from the Radius series can also serve as surround speakers. If you are building a Dolby Atmos system, ask us for recommendations for possible ceiling speakers.
Technology dictating audio performance.
The Monitor Audio Silver 50 model utilizes Monitor Audio's own C-CAM drivers. This is a composite material originally developed for the aerospace industry, characterized by excellent stiffness and light mass. The light and stiff driver moves quickly under the influence of the voice coil controlling the driver's cone, and the stiff cone ensures that the cone's surface remains stable throughout the range of motion. As a result, the Silver 50 speakers are capable of crisp and surprisingly dynamic reproduction for their size, as well as illuminating clarity and detail in recordings.
Premium finish
Monitor Audio products have gained a reputation for their high-quality finish, which stands comparison with significantly more expensive models from competitors. The optimal placement of the speakers is partly facilitated by the fact that they are not ugly, so you don't have to force yourself to try and hide them behind flower pots or similar.
Decades of experience
Monitor Audio began manufacturing speakers in 1972. Today, Monitor Audio is one of the most awarded speaker manufacturers in the world. The high quality of their speakers and the manufacturer's commitment to customer service have propelled Monitor Audio to become one of Europe's largest speaker manufacturers in its class.
Strengths and Limitations
- The speaker's acoustic performance is optimized to operate near room boundaries.
- Compact size makes speaker placement effortless, and the speaker fits seamlessly into various interiors.
- Distinct and dynamic reproduction without a clinically cold tone.
- A tonally matched center and surround speaker are also available for the series to create a comprehensive home theater system.
- Reproduces details clearly even when very low volumes are used. Movie and TV show dialogues are clearly distinguishable even if you have to listen at low volumes after other family members have gone to bed.
- If you crave bodily bass response, we recommend a separate subwoofer as a companion to the speaker or moving to larger models in the range.
