Active Power Cable

The iFi-Audio SupaNova features a top-of-the-line construction: five conductors, each made from heavy-gauge continuous cast OFHC (Oxygen-Free High Thermal Conductivity) copper, arranged in a geometrically balanced configuration – this is very rare in cables of this price range – similar technology is used in HighEnd level cables.

Two pairs of live and neutral conductors are arranged on either side of the earth conductor located in the center of the cable. Additionally, another pair of air-dielectric separators is arranged on either side of the earth conductor, keeping the two pairs of live and neutral conductors separate while improving the cable's dielectric performance and structural strength.

The cable is finished with a durable yet flexible polymer casing and iFi's custom-made audiophile-grade connectors with 24-karat gold-plated oxygen-free copper conductors.

SupaNova takes Nova's geometry & adds a cylindrical housing around the cable. This housing contains iFi-Audio's patented ANC II technology (Active Noise Cancellation).
ANC II actively eliminates much more noise across the frequency range than a passive product, especially at low frequencies. The product uses an inverse noise current to eliminate noise from the mains signal. How this all works is comparable to the technology in noise-canceling headphones.
