Denon HEOS Drive HS2 – 8-Channel Multi-Room Amplifier
Whole-home multi-room playback in a single chassis
Designed by Custom Integration specialists for installation professionals, the HEOS Drive HS2 is a unique 4-zone whole-home audio distribution system featuring 8 channels of Class D amplification. The entire package is housed in a single 2RU chassis and supports Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital+ decoding with stereo downmixing.
Power output is 60 W per channel for each of the 8 channels (20 Hz–20 kHz, 0.05% THD, 8 Ω, all channels driven). 1 or 2 stereo channels can be bridged into a single powerful 130 W channel. The HEOS Drive HS2 is also capable of handling low impedance speakers (4 Ω).
Each zone offers a stereo pair of line outputs, and each zone can be set for either stereo or mixed mono output. Matrix-based source switching offers 2 optical digital inputs, 2 coaxial digital inputs, and 4 analog stereo inputs — any of which can be assigned to any zone. There's also a USB port for each zone for an external USB drive.
The built-in signal processor with high-pass and low-pass filters allows for the use of almost any speaker combination — the output can be set to full-band, subwoofer, or small speakers with adjustable frequencies.
