Helix DSP.3S – Advanced DSP processor for car audio
The Helix DSP.3S is an improved version of the popular DSP.3 model and one of the best DSP processors on the market in terms of price-quality ratio. The ACO platform (Advanced 32 Bit CoProcessor) makes the device exceptionally fast and powerful.
ISA & InputEQ
The DSP.3S includes ISA (Input Signal Analyzer) functionality and InputEQ – a channel-specific 5-band parametric equalizer that corrects frequency response distortions of the incoming signal to achieve an optimal starting point.
Signal input
The signal can be input at speaker level, line level (RCA), optical, or coaxial. With optional Helix HEC modules, Bluetooth, HD-Audio USB, or AUX IN are also available.
Powerful processor
The 64-bit 295 MHz processor performs 1.2 billion calculations per second. A fast processor is a critical feature – a slow processor dampens dynamics when adjusting EQ and crossover frequencies.
8 output channels
With eight channels, you can implement, for example, a 4-way active system, an active 2-way front end + subwoofer + rear speakers, or other combinations. The characteristics of each channel are freely definable.
Autostart & Smart Control
The High Level input has an advanced Autostart function, whose shutdown delay can be adjusted from 10 to 300 seconds. The device only starts after detecting the correct speaker signal – it does not react to startup thumps. Ideal for radios implemented with a CAN bus.
