Ground Zero GZRK 165SQ

The Ground Zero GZRK 165 SQ is a 6.5″ midbass with an aluminum cone from the Radioactive SQ collection.

The collection is based on the previous Radioactive AL collection, in the design of which Ground Zero's Finnish importer Audioimport (now AI Group) has been heavily involved. The elements work excellently in typical car installation locations. The midbass works better in door installation instead of enclosure without building separate enclosures.

The midbass has an aluminum cone and rubber suspension. The lower than normal 3 ohm impedance helps to extract more power from the instrument or amplifier. Also available as a 2-way separate set Ground Zero GZRC 165SQ.2, a 3-way separate set Ground ZeroGZRC 165.3SQ and an active version of the 3-way Ground Zero GZRC 165.3SQ-ACT. Separate tweeters Ground Zero GZRT 25SQ and midrange drivers Ground Zero GZRM 80SQ complete the collection.

In the Car Hifi Channel's large separate series test, this midbass received a special mention for its bass reproduction.

Overall, the best thing about this set is definitely the bass head, which is quite sturdy and has power. The sound is also pleasantly mellow, without being mushy.
