Key Features
- This special and exclusive component speaker is a concept designed back in the 1970s. Its goal is to centralize the emissions of the midrange and tweeter to a single virtual point. This minimizes phase shifts and irregularities at the crossover.
- All parts of this component are manufactured using the CNC process. This is a very expensive and time-consuming manufacturing process but ensures perfect geometry and flawless aesthetics. A blend of precious materials such as brass, stainless steel, and Avional aluminum is used to create a unique product.
- Each component uses a very large, ventilated neodymium motor magnet optimized by computer simulations (FEA) for higher efficiency and improved linearity throughout the voice coil's excursion. The neodymium magnet is of high quality to eliminate magnetic losses at high temperatures and concentrate more force in a smaller space.
- The tweeter uses a Torcon® soft dome, an exclusive Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) with high-performance fiber, offering excellent heat resistance, low weight, and superb self-damping to achieve a free resonance frequency response outside the audible range.
- The unpressed cellulose pulp cone of the midrange with an exponential shape and vinyl ester resin coating ensures a perfect balance between stiffness, weight, and self-damping. The cellulose pulp provides a very natural and linear reproduction with excellent extension at high frequencies.
- Great attention was paid to the ventilation of the two components, through single axial ventilation in the tweeter and multiple in the midrange. To improve control and damping, acoustic resistance was introduced in both components.
- Together, these two components are capable of reproducing the entire frequency spectrum from 95 Hz to 25 kHz with perfect linearity.
