Key Features
- The Y35 ferrite magnet motor is optimized with FEA simulation to ensure a perfectly symmetrical magnetic flux in both directions of the cone's movement. The metallic parts of the motor are CNC machined from solid, refined material to achieve maximum magnetic flux linearity and minimum magnetic loss. This reduces distortion at high power levels.
- The 32.4 mm double-layer voice coil is wound on an aluminum former for exceptional power handling and compression-free reproduction, even during the most demanding musical passages.
- The non-pressed cellulose pulp cone with an exponential shape and vinyl ester resin coating ensures a perfect balance between rigidity, weight, and self-damping. Cellulose pulp provides very natural and linear reproduction across all musical passages with excellent extension at high frequencies without audible breakup. The aluminum dust cap, directly attached to the voice coil former, enhances and linearizes the bandwidth extremes.
- The CNC aluminum basket (LE model only) ensures a drastic reduction in cone back reflections and greater torsional rigidity. High structural and torsional rigidity for perfect component alignment requires very tight tolerances in the construction and assembly system. This leads to improved efficiency, greater power handling, and less distortion.
- The exclusive TSW (Twin Symmetrical Wave) rubber surround provides maximum movement linearity and high reliability in extreme conditions.
- The axial ventilation system ensures high heat dissipation capability, power handling, and reliability.
- A large Conex™ spider allows for smooth and gentle movement at low excursions and gently restrains the cone at high excursions, thus extending its useful range.
- The exclusive terminal connection design accepts very large cables.
