Key Features

• All parts of this tweeter are manufactured using the CNC process. This is a very expensive and time-consuming manufacturing process, but it ensures perfect geometry and impeccable aesthetics. A blend of precious materials such as brass, stainless steel, and Avional aluminum is used to create a unique product.
• The tweeter uses a very large ventilated neodymium motor magnet optimized with computer simulations (FEA) for high efficiency and improved linearity throughout the voice coil's excursion. The neodymium magnet is of high quality to counteract magnetic losses at high temperatures and concentrate more force in a smaller volume.
• The Torcon® soft dome, an exclusive Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) with high-performance fiber, provides excellent heat resistance, low weight, and excellent self-damping to achieve a free resonance frequency response above the audible range. Our dome's semi-toroidal profile provides maximum rigidity at the dome's apex. The result is a clean, smooth, and transparent sound reproduction with high efficiency from 940Hz to 25kHz with high power handling.
• A central ventilation hole provides optimal moving coil cooling for high power handling without dynamic compression, while reducing air compression behind the diaphragm, which significantly reduces distortion and extends the response to lower frequencies. A special acoustic resistor helps control the tweeter's Qts value. Residual resonance is neutralized by the dB Cloth® under-dome damping material, which extends the frequency response to lower limits and reduces harmonic distortion.
• For mounting the tweeter, the installer can use a classic solution that ESB has recommended for decades: an aluminum threaded ring.
