Key Features

• A carbon fiber reinforced polymer matrix composite diaphragm ensures exceptional rigidity combined with very low weight.
• A large (50 mm) aluminum voice coil allows a much higher power handling for this type of component.
• This midrange utilizes a very large, vented neodymium motor magnet, optimized by computer simulations (FEA) for greater efficiency and improved linearity throughout the voice coil's entire excursion. The neodymium magnet is of high quality to reduce magnetic losses at high temperatures and concentrate more energy in a small space.
• All motor parts are produced with a CNC process for tighter tolerances and improved performance.
• Great attention was paid to the axial and radial ventilation of the moving coil to ensure high power handling, reduced distortion, and high durability. Axial ventilation holes reduce air compression behind the diaphragm with significantly reduced distortion and extended response to lower frequencies.
• A peculiar acoustic resistance helps to control the Qts value of the midrange. Residual resonances are neutralized by the dB Cloth® damping material under the diaphragm. This extends the frequency response to the lower limits and reduces harmonic distortion.
• The faceplate can be removed and replaced with an adapter for rear mounting.
