A typical listening room resonates at low frequencies. This phenomenon can make even the best subwoofer sound poor. Low frequencies can be almost impossible to distinguish from resonances. The problem is at its worst when the subwoofer is placed near a wall or corner of the room.
Anti-Mode technology eliminates acoustic resonances in the room and loudspeaker by equalizing both amplitude and phase responses with highly precise digital filters. This ensures that low frequencies are reproduced clearly all the way to the subwoofer's cut-off frequency.
The Anti-Mode 8033 is extremely easy to use, as calibration is automatic. The device performs frequency sweeps from the desired calibration point (or points), thus measuring the combined transfer function of the low-frequency reproduction equipment and the room.
The Anti-Mode 8033 is connected between the amplifier's subwoofer line out and the subwoofer's line in using standard RCA connectors. These connections are found on most home theater devices.
