DLS Reference RCS6.25 – Maximum performance, minimal installation depth

The DLS RCS6.25 is an incredibly slim 2-way stand-alone set, developed for installations where space is limited but sound quality is not compromised. The heart of the set is a 6.5" mid-woofer with an installation depth of only 41 mm. This makes it ideal for modern cars, where space behind the door panels is often very limited.

Technology without compromise

The RCS6.25 is part of the Reference series for a reason. The midbass features a cast aluminum body and a hybrid magnet system that combines ferrite and neodymium magnets to maximize control and efficiency.

• Purity and control: Copper ring reduces distortion and improves midrange clarity.

• Light and fast: The lightweight fiberglass cone and Santoprene suspension produce bass reproduction that is fast, accurate and free of coloration. The material choices have been based on lessons learned from our popular Cruise series in recent years.

Detailed treble reproduction

The 25 mm silk dome tweeter is vented through both the magnet and the back plate. A small acoustic chamber with aperiodic damping equalizes pressure and dampens resonances in the lower frequency range. Thanks to the damping, the tweeter integrates seamlessly into the midbass, making the reproduction very accurate and the sound open and strain-free.

Smart and flexible installation

Both the midbass and tweeter have their own separate 12 dB/octave crossover filters, made of carefully selected components (MKT capacitors, air core coils and MOX resistors). This ensures precise matching and significantly simplifies installation. The tweeter filters have a level adjustment made by jumper (0dB / +2dB)

• You can use the car's original speaker cables: Since the crossovers are separate, you can install the midbass in the door and the tweeter on the dashboard, using the car's original speaker cables, without the need to run new wires.
