The DLS CCi500-40 is a mono amplifier from DLS, made to celebrate the Swedish brand's 40th anniversary. The amplifier's physical dimensions are very small, so it is easy to install the amplifier in almost any car. The class D amplifier has a very good efficiency, so the amplifier's power consumption is moderate and the amplifier stays cool even during longer listening sessions.
The amplifier has an adjustable low-pass filter (35 – 250HZ) with 12dB / 24dB crossovers and 0/180° phase shift. The lowest frequencies (below 30Hz) can be cut off if desired using Subsonic.
The amplifier comes with a wired level control for adjusting the subwoofer, and the CCi500-40 is also equipped with automatic start when using the speaker level input. This makes it easy to connect the amplifier after the car's factory-installed stereo.
The DLS CCi500-40 has been honed to its peak sound quality in collaboration with Englishman Gordon Taylor, known as the father of Genesis amplifiers.
