Designed and manufactured in Japan, the powerful AVC-X4800H is based on 9.4-channel amplification. With Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, as well as IMAX Enhanced and Auro-3D functions, the AVC-X4800H envelops even larger listening spaces with breathtaking 3D sound. The built-in HEOS® system allows you to wirelessly stream your favorite music.

The AVC-X4800H honors the path paved by its esteemed predecessors, but packs a stunning amount of new and essential technology within its sophisticated exterior. Four discrete subwoofer outputs allow subwoofer enthusiasts to customize their system and placement for perfectly balanced reproduction throughout the listening space. Pre-amplifier outputs and speaker terminals can be defined as desired according to needs. In other words, the internal amplifiers of the AVC-X4800H and potential external power amplifiers (or active speakers) coexist harmoniously even when used interchangeably. HDMI 2.1 standard 8K60 and 4K/120 video flows smoothly through all seven HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs.

A 3D audio experience is possible with all necessary audio formats: Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and IMAX Enhanced. Auro-3D. Sony 360 Reality Audio... The discreetly implemented 9-channel amplifier section features two large heat sinks and a powerful power supply to deliver the famously powerful, dynamic, and precise sound quality, tuned by Denon's audio masters, delivering up to 200W per channel. For room acoustic issues, assistance can be found in the powerful room correction features of the AVC-X4800H. The familiar and proven Audyssey MultEQ XT32 does an excellent job, especially when enhanced to one's taste with the affordable Audyssey Editor app. For serious tuners, there is an option for in-depth PC-controlled Audyssey configuration (MultEQ-X, paid license). Different levels of Dirac Live calibration options will also be available (Dirac Live features are based on paid software licenses). Two speaker settings can be stored with separate calibrations, activating as desired with the selected audio source.

Amidst all the technical excellence, Denon's traditional reliability and comfortable usability are also pleasing. The extensive features are easily managed through a new high-definition on-screen menu, setup assistant, and ergonomic remote control. With HEOS features, listening to music from various streaming services is a pure joy.

AL32 Processing: Denon's proprietary analog waveform reproduction technology, supporting up to 192 kHz sampling rate and 32-bit sample depth. The technology thoroughly dampens noise associated with D/A conversion, allowing even the smallest signals to be reproduced with optimal clarity and bringing out all the subtle nuances of music. AL32 Processing Multi-Channel means that the technology is applied to all channels and with all audio sources.

Four subwoofer outputs: Using multiple subwoofers eliminates room modes for more even bass reproduction. No annoying boosts or dips, but a controlled and room-filling, nuanced bass response. Adjust subwoofer settings as desired when more than two subwoofers are connected. Choose "Standard" for the most evenly distributed bass response in the room. Or choose "Directional" for more precisely focused bass, where each subwoofer seamlessly integrates with the speaker channel closest to it.

Audyssey room correction

Optimize your audio experience with the Audyssey MultEQ XT32 feature, which adapts sound reproduction to your individual listening environment. With the included microphone, MultEQ XT32 measures and analyzes the output of each speaker (including subwoofers) at up to eight measurement positions and produces precise digital filters that optimize the frequency balance and time-domain reproduction of each channel. Audyssey Dynamic Volume smoothes out annoying volume jumps (like TV commercials), allowing you to listen at lower levels and still enjoy clear dialogue, music, and effects. Audyssey Dynamic EQ provides full clarity at all listening levels, and Audyssey Low Frequency Containment uses advanced psychoacoustic algorithms to deliver rich frequency balance, including a sense of deep bass, without disturbing neighbors or other family members. Audyssey Sub EQ HT provides individual DSP customization for each subwoofer in two-subwoofer systems to ensure accurate bass reproduction that extends as low as possible. In addition, the separately purchased Audyssey MultEQ Editor app (available for purchase in app stores) allows experienced users to get "under the hood" for more precise adjustment and customization of audio reproduction. The app is available for both iOS and Android.

Two speaker settings memory

Save two speaker and Audyssey settings and switch between them on the fly, allowing you to freely optimize your listening experience according to content or listening environment. Saved settings include amplifier operating mode, speaker settings, distances, volumes, crossover frequencies, bass management selection, front channel setting, 2-channel signal playback settings, and graphical EQ adjustment (when Audyssey is not in use).

360 Reality Audio

Immerse yourself in a soundscape as real as being at a live concert or with an artist recording in the studio. With 360 Reality Audio, music has never been this real. The AVC-X4800H can play 360 Reality Audio from a Google Chromecast device connected to an HDMI input. Music streaming services do not currently offer 360 Reality Audio streaming, but stay tuned for further updates!

Easy control with a smart device in your back pocket. The free Denon AVR Remote app for iOS and Android makes using the AVC-X4800H even easier. Adjust volume, turn the amplifier on or off, mute music, switch sources, or go to HEOS.
