Who is the BLAM Live 165 LSQ designed for?
For those who love the sound of vinyl, meaning they crave a soft, non-fatiguing, warm, and dynamic sound. The Live 165 LSQ is an excellent example of BLAM's "French Sound" philosophy, where reproduction is as natural as possible regardless of music style, allowing you to focus on what matters most: the Music.
The Live 165 LSQ is a component set with fabric dome tweeters and cast-frame mid-woofers, whose cones are made of bamboo fiber reinforced paper pulp. The mid-woofers feature two-ohm voice coils and a high sensitivity of 93.3dB, meaning the drivers perform exceptionally well even without a separate amplifier.
BLAM has always considered the easiest possible installation of speakers, which is why the Live 165 LSQ has its own compact crossover for each channel. This is significantly more convenient to install, especially if the mid-woofers are installed in the door and the tweeters, for example, on the dashboard.
The high-pass and low-pass filters have a 12dB/oct. slope, and the tweeter filters include a three-position level adjustment for the tweeters.
The Live LT 25 fabric dome tweeters are easy to install due to their small size, and the speakers come with flush and surface mounting cups. The LT25 tweeter also fits directly in place of the original tweeters in some cars, keeping the drivers hidden. For sound quality, we recommend, if possible, installing the tweeters with the included surface mounting adapters, which make it easy to angle the drivers towards the listener.
